Mr. Jessie Lee Tucker, 85, of 554 Beulah Brown Road Sanford, NC, was born on April 24, 1933.The Lord sent an angel to bring Jessie home on November 28, 2018 at Westfield Rehabilitation & Health Center in Sanford, NC. He was born in Mitchell, Georgia to the late George and Louvina Tucker. Jessie attended school in the Glascock County public school system, and was a member of William Grove Baptist Church in Mitchell, Georgia prior to moving to NC. Jessie Tucker married the love of his life, Miss. Inell Hall, in 1951. After five years of marriage, Jessie and Inell relocated to Sanford, North Carolina. Through this union five children were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents George and Louvina Tucker, two brothers Roy and George Tucker, one daughter Nettie Mae Tucker, one son Tommy Lee Tucker, and one grandson Randy Kinney.
Jessie worked hard and diligently as a construction worker to provide for his family. After many years Jessie retired from his career in construction. Jessie loved watching his favorite baseball team, the Atlanta Braves, during the season. During his retirement Jessie enjoyed spending quality time with his family.
Jessie leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 67 years, Inell Tucker, of the home, one daughter Ella Cole, two sons Jessie W. Tucker and Frankie (Jana) Tucker all of Sanford, NC. Four sisters Jesse Mae Nelson, Willie Lou Neal, Eve Lou Mills, and Willie Mae Lawrence all of Georgia. One brother Willie Edward Tucker of Georgia and one brother-in-law David Neal of Sanford, NC. 12 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
